Job Overview

Dexcom Ireland is seeking a Production Operator for their Athenry facility to work a 12-hour night shift. This role is crucial in the manufacturing of Dexcom's life-changing CGM products within a cleanroom environment. The operator will work with semi-automated and automated equipment, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance are met. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing, possessing strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor semi-automated and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform manual tasks including component handling, material loading, and supporting assembly processes.
  • Conduct precise, dexterity-based assembly tasks while maintaining consistent production output.
  • Execute in-process quality checks to ensure product integrity.
  • Manage packaging, labeling, material movement, and associated data entry.
  • Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, and cleanroom protocols, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Promptly report any deviations, defects, or safety concerns, and actively contribute to achieving quality and yield targets.
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members, ensuring clear communication and seamless shift transitions.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the production team.
  • Achieve proficiency within designated training periods and consistently meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for output and quality.
  • Demonstrate reliability, accuracy, and strict adherence to standardized operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Possess a Leaving Certificate or equivalent (Level 5).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meticulously follow structured procedures.
  • Comfort and proficiency in performing repetitive, hands-on assembly tasks.
  • Good computer literacy and a solid mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and a strong team-oriented attitude.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Ireland.
  • Punctuality and the ability to complete tasks efficiently are essential.

Additional Information

The role involves a 12-hour night shift, operating on a rotating pattern of 4 days on and 3 days off, followed by 3 days on and 4 days off (Monday to Wednesday, with alternate Thursdays). Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a dexterity assessment as part of the interview process. This is a full-time, onsite position located in Athenry, County Galway, Ireland. The anticipated start date is July 2026.
