About the Role
Tonal is hiring a dependable, detail-focused part-time Production Assistant to help run daily studio operations and keep live as well as pre-recorded fitness productions moving smoothly. This is a very hands-on position that calls for strong organization, quick responses, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a busy studio setting. It is well suited to someone who is proactive, reliable, and interested in gaining practical experience in production.

Responsibilities
- Set up and tear down the studio each day, including preparing the stage, lighting, props, and talent requirements for scheduled shoots.
- Help during live and recorded sessions by advancing slides, running timers, counting reps, and assisting with lighting cues.
- Reset the stage between shoots and confirm that equipment, cleanliness, and overall readiness meet production needs.
- Take thumbnail images and other supporting photos for production use.
- Work with directors and producers during blocking to align class structure, equipment placement, and on-screen materials.
- Watch for issues or inconsistencies during rehearsals and live sessions and raise them promptly to protect production quality.
- Keep the studio tidy, organized, and fully supplied, including kitchen, bathroom, and shared areas.
- Handle daily opening and closing tasks such as powering equipment, setting lighting states, and restoring spaces after use.
- Prepare items needed by talent, including water, towels, and other accessories.
- Carry out routine upkeep tasks such as cleaning equipment, wiping surfaces, and maintaining stage floors.
- Support the Production Manager, Office Coordinator, and broader studio team with errands, runs, and other ad hoc needs.
- Assist with photoshoots and special productions by helping with equipment, props, and overall studio support.
- Stay in clear communication with teammates throughout the day to keep work aligned and efficient.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a Production Assistant role is preferred.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving production, fitness, or live studio environment.
- Strong planning and multitasking abilities to manage several priorities across the day.
- High attention to detail and a consistent approach to studio setup, class prep, and production workflows.
- Experience using basic production tools such as lighting systems, walkie-talkies, monitors, and digital presentation tools is an advantage.
- Ability to move and lift production materials, beverages, equipment, and accessories weighing up to 25-50 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and available for early mornings and flexible production schedules.
- Positive, collaborative mindset with a willingness to help wherever needed.
- Background in fitness, media production, photography, or content creation is a plus.
Compensation
This is a part-time role offered through TCWGlobal. Pay is $43.75 per hour, with an 8-hour guaranteed day rate of $350.
