About the Team
The Data Analytics unit turns data into practical insights and visual dashboards. It supports strategic and organisational transformation work by delivering business insights to leadership and helping automate data extraction, reporting, and dashboarding wherever possible. Within this environment, the Senior Product Owner team works closely with multiple functions across the development cycle, acting as the link between stakeholders and delivery teams to keep everyone aligned on the product direction and focused on building solutions that create value for the business unit.
Role Overview
The Product Owner Manager is responsible for guiding the product vision and roadmap, championing user needs, and keeping communication clear between delivery leads, development squads, and stakeholders. The role is centred on building user-focused products that support business objectives, maximise impact, and deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to clarify business goals and translate them into product direction.
- Set the product vision and define the product goal in a clear, actionable way.
- Build and maintain a roadmap that supports business priorities.
- Develop strong knowledge of the market and competitor offerings.
- Anticipate customer needs and ensure the product remains customer-focused.
- Create customer journey maps and set up feedback loops to reflect the voice of the customer.
- Balance scope, budget, and timelines while prioritising product features.
- Assess stakeholder needs and objectives to guide product decisions.
- Prioritise features based on business value and strategic importance.
- Maintain a well-structured backlog with epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Keep the product backlog visible, clear, and understood by all relevant teams.
- Ensure the team has enough refined and sized work for the next two sprints, including dependency mapping.
- Collect, review, and prioritise functional and technical requests with all relevant stakeholders as the main point of contact.
- Build stakeholder alignment and secure buy-in across groups.
- Provide squads with clear guidance to support product delivery.
- Own product delivery from start to finish.
- Define MVP scope in a way that enables early value delivery and improves ROI.
- Review delivery progress across each iteration.
- Confirm feature acceptance by establishing a clear definition of done.
