Founded in 1926, the Davy Group is central to Ireland’s wealth and capital markets, serving high-net-worth individuals, self-directed investors, SMEs, credit unions, corporate clients, and institutional investors in Ireland and internationally. The business is guided by three core values: client success, one Davy, and building a proud legacy. With a team of more than 900 people, Davy encourages professional and personal growth while working together to deliver strong client outcomes.

Role Overview

Davy is hiring a Product Owner to join its team in Dublin. This role focuses on shaping product direction, turning business needs into delivery-ready requirements, and working closely with technology and business stakeholders to deliver value through agile product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set out the product vision for the squad and ensure it supports wider business strategy.
  • Take ownership of the backlog, ordering work by value and stakeholder need, and run refinement, sprint planning, and review meetings.
  • Convert business needs into features, user stories, and acceptance criteria that are ready for delivery.
  • Lead planning across release cycles and quarterly roadmap reviews.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between business, technology, and other stakeholders, including status updates and reporting.
  • Work within agile delivery practices and methodologies.
  • Oversee squad governance and risk requirements, stay aligned with compliance and regulatory expectations, participate in governance forums, and keep a clear audit trail.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring strong product ownership experience, the ability to work across multiple stakeholders, and confidence in delivering digital products in complex environments. Experience in business analysis or a similar role is considered an advantage.

Required Experience and Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in technology-led environments.
  • A strong history of delivering digital products and transformation work across sectors such as financial services, eCommerce, or similar.
  • Experience working with global stakeholders and distributed teams.
  • Proven end-to-end product delivery experience, from early idea stage through launch and optimisation.
  • Ability to define product strategy and a roadmap that aligns with business goals.
  • Strong backlog management skills, including creating clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience delivering complex digital solutions involving APIs, data transformation, and automation.
  • Solid understanding of agile delivery methods such as Scrum and SAFe, with active involvement in planning, refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Ability to define KPIs and performance measures to track product success.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to influence senior business, technology, and operations leaders.
  • Experience facilitating workshops to gather requirements and solve business challenges.
  • Strong judgement in balancing customer needs, business priorities, and technical limitations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional agile teams such as engineering, UX, and business analysis.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and help guide team performance.
  • Experience handling dependencies, risks, and delivery schedules in complex settings.
  • Strong technical awareness covering APIs, data integration, and digital platforms.
  • Comfort working directly with engineering teams on solution design and implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to turn data into practical insight.
  • Experience supporting process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with process mapping, documentation, workflow tools, and technical concepts such as SQL is helpful.
