Job description

Role overview

Bell is hiring a Product Owner to support one or more Agile Release Train teams delivering several initiatives at once for the Retail and Omni-Channel product roadmap. In this role, you will collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, IT colleagues, and Channel and Marketing partners across the full delivery lifecycle, from definition and development through testing, launch, and ongoing support. The work calls for a design-thinking mindset to uncover opportunities, shape solutions, and deliver value to users.

What you'll do

  • Lead large-scale, complex, and transformative strategic initiatives from end to end.
  • Own and evolve the commerce systems roadmap, serving as the product owner for channel tools and platforms.
  • Review upcoming features and convert them into clear user stories.
  • Plan, coordinate, and run acceptance testing so business users can validate stories and features.
  • Prepare and maintain supporting documentation such as use cases, process maps, and release notes.
  • Partner with UX/UI designers to help create wireframes, mockups, editorial content, and training materials.
  • Evaluate business and technical options and recommend solutions that can scale while meeting client and company needs.
  • Coordinate dependencies with Product Owners, Product Managers, and teams across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Marketing, Product, and related functions.
  • Help drive a smooth operational launch and go-to-market execution so the rollout succeeds at the last mile.

Requirements

  • A university degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Lead, or Product Owner on IT-focused initiatives, ideally in Agile or scaled Agile environments.
  • Strong ability to turn business needs into structured, actionable requirements.
  • Highly organized, disciplined, and detail-oriented, with comfort handling daily time-sensitive tasks such as ticket updates and test execution.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends, generally monthly or less, to meet deadlines and release schedules.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity and frequent change.
  • Confidence in leading meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • For roles based in Quebec, adequate French language ability is required.

Preferred qualifications

  • Agile credentials, especially SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification.
  • PMP certification is considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of service design principles and customer-centric approaches.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira.
  • Hands-on experience with Confluence.

Additional information

This is a regular full-time management position located in Canada, with work locations listed in Manitoba (Winnipeg), Ontario (Mississauga and Toronto), and Quebec (Montreal). The arrangement is hybrid, which means successful candidates must be based in Canada and work from a Bell office at least 3 days per week. Bell also offers flexibility in work hours based on business needs.

The role comes with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. From day one, team members are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and mental health coverage that can be tailored to individual needs. Employees also receive a 35% discount on Bell services and access to exclusive partner offers.
