About the Role
We are seeking a motivated mid-level Product Owner in Dubai, UAE, to connect business goals, client expectations, and product execution. In this position, you will partner with stakeholders, designers, developers, and leadership to shape requirements into clear product outcomes and help ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
This opportunity suits someone who has handled software projects, can communicate effectively between business and technical teams, and is comfortable owning product delivery in an Agile setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the product backlog and keep priorities aligned with company objectives and client requirements.
- Collect, assess, and record business needs, then convert them into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Keep the backlog prepared for upcoming sprints and contribute to effective sprint planning.
- Define the project roadmap and actively monitor and steer it.
- Work alongside development, design, QA, and DevOps teams to support seamless delivery and proper alignment.
- Review finished features and confirm deliverables before they are released to the client.
- Serve as the main contact for assigned clients and stakeholders.
- Lead requirement-gathering discussions, product review sessions, and recurring project follow-ups.
- Set expectations with stakeholders, communicate risks early, and maintain transparency across the project lifecycle.
- Run backlog refinement meetings and take part in Agile ceremonies.
- Track project status, spot blockers, and collaborate with teams to remove issues quickly.
- Keep product documentation and communication materials accurate, clear, and well organized.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in software development environments.
- More than 2 years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, or comparable role.
- Solid knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices.
- Hands-on experience creating user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.
- Strong skills in stakeholder coordination, communication, analysis, and problem-solving.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling web and mobile application projects.
- Familiarity with Jira, ClickUp, or similar project management tools.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and product discovery methods.
- Agile certifications such as PSPO, CSPO, PMP, PMI-ACP, or an equivalent credential are an advantage.
- Background in software agencies or custom software development firms is preferred.
