Product Manager, GoBusiness

About the Role

This position is for an experienced product leader who will shape how business licences are brought onto the GoBusiness platform and help build licensing features that make it easier to run a business in Singapore. The work blends public service, digital product development, and regulatory understanding, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable working through complex rules while keeping the user experience simple and practical.

What You’ll Do

You will guide the strategy for licensing capabilities on GoBusiness and work with government agencies to digitise and connect different business licences into one unified platform. A key part of the role is understanding the full licensing journey from a business point of view, finding friction points, and turning them into solutions that lower compliance effort without compromising standards.

You will also spend time engaging with agencies and business users to uncover licensing needs, workflows, and pain points. Those insights will be converted into product requirements and used to work with engineering teams on scalable features that can support large numbers of Singapore businesses.

Another important responsibility is managing the roadmap for licensing products, deciding what to build next based on user feedback, business value, and policy priorities. You will oversee integration work across agency systems so that data moves smoothly and licensing journeys feel consistent across different processes.

Preferred Background

Candidates with exposure to government digital services, business licensing, or regulatory technology will be especially relevant for this position. Familiarity with Singapore’s business regulatory environment, experience in GovTech or similar public-sector technology initiatives, and knowledge of digital identity or authentication systems will be an advantage.

Qualifications and Skills

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is expected. The role generally suits candidates with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a technology-related function, though the exact requirement may vary depending on the project.

You should be comfortable working across relevant technical areas such as software development, data analysis, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure, depending on the product scope. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, clear written and spoken communication, good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, organisational strength, and the ability to adapt to change are important. An interest in public service and digital transformation is highly valued.
