Role overview
This role is for a Product Manager at Meta in San Francisco, CA. The position calls for someone who enjoys moving fast, partnering with engineering, design, data science, and research teams to shape and ship products at scale.
What you will do
- Own a complex product area and guide its overall direction.
- Set success measures, decide which problems matter most, and choose the best strategy while keeping the broader company and organizational context in mind.

- Build agreement on the highest-value opportunities, including knowing when to invest further and when to stop.

- Spot opportunities across adjacent product areas and coordinate shared approaches to address cross-team dependencies.
- Use user research and market insights to shape product choices and inform the wider product organization.
- Drive alignment with partner functions, improve collaboration, and resolve competing objectives.
- Present product strategy and progress to stakeholders with clear, direct communication.
- Mentor and support the development of other product managers and cross-functional teammates.
Experience and qualifications

Minimum qualifications
- At least 8 years of relevant industry experience, including a minimum of 3 years in product management.
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent relevant qualification; STEM backgrounds such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, or Applied Sciences are preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience leading cross-functional product teams across an entire product line, including setting mission and strategy, defining requirements, coordinating support from other groups such as marketing and legal, and delivering milestones and goals.
- Experience managing a product through its full lifecycle.
- Proven ability to significantly improve product performance and the effectiveness of the team delivering it.
- Strong capability in analyzing large-scale, complex data sets and making decisions based on data.
- Experience blending inputs from a wide range of users and contexts into a single, coherent product strategy.
- History of leading, motivating, and influencing teams across an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas with exceptional clarity.
- Experience identifying and hiring strong talent for cross-functional teams.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience using AI tools to redesign or optimize workflows and deliver measurable improvements such as better efficiency or quality.
- Experience applying responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk review, bias mitigation, and quality or accuracy checks.
- Ongoing development in AI skills such as prompt and context engineering, agent orchestration, and keeping up with new AI technologies.

Compensation and benefits
The base pay range for this position is $173,000 to $241,000 per year, with additional bonus, equity, and benefits. Final compensation depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The listed pay reflects base salary only and does not include bonus, equity, or sales incentives where applicable.
