Job description
Role overview
Flooid is looking for a Product Manager to help shape products used by major retail and hospitality brands around the world. In this individual contributor role, you will define product direction, balance customer needs with business goals and technical realities, and work closely with engineering, commercial, and customer-facing teams to deliver outcomes that are useful, well-prioritized, and commercially valuable. You will report to the Director of Product Management and play a hands-on role across the full product lifecycle.
What you will do
- Take ownership of complete products or major product areas and drive measurable business value.
- Define a strong product vision and build a strategy that addresses customer needs, user experience, technical requirements, feature scope, and pricing.
- Represent the product vision internally, secure leadership support, and keep stakeholders aligned on direction and priorities.
- Support and coach junior Product Management colleagues.
- Apply product lifecycle management methods, tools, and frameworks in day-to-day work.
- Carry out market research to uncover opportunities, study competitors, and understand customer preferences that shape product design and positioning.
- Work directly with customers through interviews, surveys, and testing to uncover pain points and needs.
- Lead product delivery planning by creating roadmaps, setting milestones, and managing scope, timeline, and budget for releases.
- Build, maintain, and rank the product backlog according to customer demand, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to turn product requirements into delivered results and keep everyone aligned on goals and outcomes.
- Partner with Marketing on audience targeting, positioning, and messaging.
- Present and advocate for Flooid products to both internal teams and external customers.
- Track product performance metrics and collect feedback to measure success.
- Use data and insights to guide improvements, updates, and future product changes.
- Resolve complex product issues that require independent judgment and limited supervision.
Skills and experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in a software environment.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or payments technology is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, APIs, or complicated software ecosystems is preferred.
- Strong grasp of product lifecycle management and Agile delivery methods.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, prioritize well, and make balanced decisions using customer, business, and technical inputs.
- Proven experience working across engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a global organization.
- Analytical approach with the ability to interpret data and user feedback.
- Familiarity with user research and testing practices is preferred.
- Experience contributing to pricing, product positioning, and commercial conversations is preferred.
- Comfort working independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Benefits

This position can be based in the United States either remotely or in an office/hybrid arrangement, with the main office in Cincinnati, Ohio. Because the role supports a global business, candidates must live in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.
The role is full-time and comes with a flexible working style designed to support personal commitments such as childcare, elder care, and family events.
Benefits begin on day one and include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage; competitive pay; an uncapped flexible PTO policy; fully paid FMLA leave comparable to company-paid short-term disability coverage; 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave; and a 401(k) plan with company match.
