Role overview

Datacrest Consulting is hiring a Product Manager for its Auckland, New Zealand office. The position is a full-time, on-site role focused on product understanding, research, design communication, and the creation of user-centered deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Build a strong working knowledge of the technology and capabilities within the assigned product area.
  • Carry out research that highlights the human, commercial, and business impact of product decisions.
  • Prepare product-area deliverables such as competitive reviews, user journeys, low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes that address real user needs through the user experience.
  • Share UX findings with the design organization, cross-functional teammates, and other relevant stakeholders using clear, simple communication that removes unnecessary complexity.

Requirements

  • A portfolio that shows thoughtful, polished, and end-to-end customer journey work.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in interactive design and/or visual design.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Awareness of current trends in mobile, communications, and collaboration products.
  • Ability to produce refined design prototypes, mockups, and other presentation materials.
  • Capability to scope work accurately, estimate effort, and independently prioritize tasks and objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to products that reached launch.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Working knowledge of design tools including Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch.
