Product Information Manager

Role overview

We are looking for a meticulous and tech-savvy Product Information Management (PIM) Manager to support a growing P2P e-commerce business in Jaipur. In this position, you will own the product data backbone, making sure each item, from raw material to finished product, is properly recorded, classified, and displayed. Since the operation runs on ERPNext for production management, this role will connect manufacturing activities with the online storefront. You will be responsible for maintaining Bill of Materials (BOM), item numbering, and the visual presentation of products.

Production data management

• Create and maintain accurate multi-level BOMs for all finished products in ERPNext, making sure raw materials, sub-assemblies, and scrap factors are correctly included.
• Set up and manage unique item codes and SKU formats for raw materials, semi-finished items, and final goods.
• Audit ERP records regularly to confirm that physical inventory details match the digital master data.

Manufacturing workflow and operations

• Prepare and monitor work orders according to production needs and sales forecasts.
• Improve workflows in ERPNext, covering the full process from Material Request through Stock Entry, so handoffs between teams run smoothly.
• Work with the operations team to ensure BOMs are designed for both cost control and production efficiency.

Digital assets and photography

• Coordinate product photography and ensure images meet brand standards as well as web performance requirements.
• Strengthen product listings with technical details, search-friendly descriptions, and high-resolution media to improve the customer experience on the P2P platform.

ERPNext administration and reporting

• Act as the main contact for the Manufacturing and Stock modules in ERPNext.
• Prepare reports for leadership on production efficiency, material usage differences, and data quality.

Required skills and qualifications

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on exposure to ERPNext, especially the Manufacturing, Stock, and Buying modules. Familiarity with comparable platforms such as Odoo, SAP, or NetSuite will also be valued. Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills are important for cleaning data and handling bulk uploads. A working understanding of product photography, digital asset management, and image optimization for e-commerce is expected. You should also have a solid grasp of manufacturing logic, including routing, operations, and cost centers.

Experience and education

A minimum of 3 years of experience in Product Information Management, production planning, or a similar function within e-commerce or manufacturing is required. A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
