About the Role
We invite a driven Product Development Specialist to join our Riyadh-based team, taking charge of guiding innovative consumer products from initial concept through their market introduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and pinpoint new product opportunities that align with company goals.
- Source packaging materials, components, and creative packaging solutions.
- Identify, assess, and negotiate terms with both local and international manufacturers and suppliers.
- Manage product development from conceptualization to commercial production.
- Oversee production schedules, ensuring products meet delivery timelines.
- Handle shipping, imports, and global logistics coordination.
- Assist with product registration and maintain compliance with the Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Track inventory related to product launches and procurement efforts.
- Collaborate closely with teams across Marketing, Sales, Operations, Quality, and Finance throughout product lifecycles.
- Compile supplier assessments, conduct cost analyses, and generate product development reports.
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitor products, and innovations to discover new business possibilities.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
- Two to five years of professional experience in Product Development, Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain roles.
- Proven experience collaborating with international manufacturers and suppliers.
- Strong skills in negotiation and managing supplier relationships.
- Understanding of international shipping and import regulations.
- Familiarity with SFDA registration protocols is strongly desired.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel; ERP system experience is advantageous.
