About The Role
We are looking for a skilled Industrial/Product Designer (m/f/d) to join our design team. This role involves developing new products and product lines from concept to production. You will use your design and technical skills to create market-ready products that align with user needs, brand identity, and technical requirements. You will collaborate with product management, quality assurance, and international suppliers to ensure product excellence. Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop innovative product designs, product families, and initial design ideas, progressing from sketches to production-ready models.
- Design visually appealing and technically sophisticated products, including strollers, bike trailers, and associated mobility accessories.
- Transform user requirements, brand positioning, and technical specifications into viable and appealing product concepts.
- Create concept sketches, mood boards, mockups, and detailed specifications for Color, Material, Finish (CMF), textiles, and surface treatments.
- Execute professional 3D modeling, visualization, and detailed product development, ensuring manufacturability and technical feasibility.
- Work collaboratively with product management, quality assurance, and international suppliers to harmonize design specifications and production workflows.
- Assess prototypes, samples, and finished production runs for design quality, functionality, material choices, craftsmanship, and suitability for the target demographic.
- Research and analyze global design, lifestyle, material, and consumer trends to inspire and develop innovative design solutions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree or completed apprenticeship in Industrial or Product Design and possess several years of professional experience, ideally with consumer goods. Essential skills include proficiency in 3D CAD software like Rhino or SolidWorks, and the Adobe Creative Suite. A solid understanding of form, function, ergonomics, and materials (plastics, metals, textiles, surface treatments) is required. Candidates should have a good sense for color, material combinations, and current trends, particularly those relevant to young families. Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) are necessary, along with a willingness to travel occasionally to Asia for supplier coordination. A structured, meticulous, and independent work approach, supported by a strong portfolio of relevant design projects, is expected.
