Role overview
This position is being filled for a partner company associated with Haystack. The selected candidate will work in Lower Saxony, Germany as a full-time, on-site Product Designer.
What you will do
- Prepare accurate manufacturing drawings for individual components as well as complete assemblies.
- Convert existing 2D layouts into detailed 3D models and create the supporting production documentation.
- Draft assembly drawings with the correct dimensions and tolerances needed for manufacturing and installation.
- Coordinate technical details with teams across design, production planning, manufacturing, and assembly.
- Build and update bills of materials and keep technical records organized and current.
- Check prepared documents carefully to ensure quality and completeness.
What the employer is looking for
- Completed vocational training in Product Design, Technical Drafting, or a comparable technician qualification.
- Several years of hands-on experience in product design within mechanical engineering or construction.
- Confident use of CAD software such as AutoCAD and Inventor, ERP tools such as proALPHA, and Microsoft Office applications.
- A precise, well-organized, and practical working style, paired with technical curiosity and strong analytical ability.
- Good spatial awareness, creativity, a service-minded attitude, and the ability to work independently and dependably.
- Strong command of both German and English.
