About the role

Impacteers is seeking a Designer I for its Design Team in Chennai. The role is focused on shaping intuitive, polished, and scalable digital experiences across the platform. You will work closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional partners to turn business and user needs into effective interface solutions.

This opportunity is best suited for someone at the beginning of their design journey who has a strong foundation in UI design, cares about user experience, pays close attention to detail, and is eager to learn how design teams create and scale product experiences in an AI-led environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create clear and visually refined user interfaces for web and mobile products that match product objectives and brand guidelines.
• Help maintain and improve the Figma-based design system, including reusable components, styles, and supporting documentation.
• Build responsive layouts, interaction states, and smooth user journeys across multiple screen sizes and devices.
• Work with product managers, engineers, and senior designers to shape concepts into simple and effective user experiences.
• Convert user needs, business goals, and feedback into practical design directions.
• Prepare well-structured design files, journey flows, and handoff notes to support engineering implementation.
• Contribute to wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and interface explorations for different product initiatives.
• Take part in design critiques and refine work based on feedback to strengthen usability, consistency, and visual quality.
• Use accessibility principles and current UI conventions to design inclusive experiences.
• Support AI-focused product thinking by identifying ways design can improve clarity, trust, usability, personalization, and engagement in AI-powered features.
• Collaborate with teams to translate AI capabilities into user-friendly design solutions that deliver real value.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Design, HCI, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, or a similar discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in UI design, product design, digital design, or a related field, including internships or freelance assignments.
• Solid design fundamentals covering layout, typography, hierarchy, spacing, and interaction design.
• Hands-on experience with Figma, including components, auto-layout, and prototyping.
• Ability to work effectively with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of responsive design, basic accessibility, and modern UI patterns.
• Comfort working in a fast-changing environment with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Basic knowledge of design systems and how they help products stay consistent and scalable.
• Awareness of how AI-driven experiences affect usability, trust, personalization, and interaction design.
• Exposure to design systems, usability testing, wireframing, prototyping, or developer handoff processes is preferred.
• Ability to turn user problems into simple, clear interface solutions.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Figma, FigJam, Adobe Creative Suite, Jira, and Notion, or similar software.
• Interest in career tech, hiring tech, HR tech, or marketplace/platform products.
• Experience using AI tools in design work for ideation, content support, workflow acceleration, research synthesis, or quick prototyping is preferred.
• Understanding of key AI design considerations such as clarity, usability, bias, explainability, and user trust is preferred.
• Curiosity about emerging AI trends, tools, and product opportunities in the talent and career ecosystem.

Compensation

The offered salary range is INR 3,00,000 to INR 5,50,000 per year.
