Job description
Role overview
FE fundinfo is hiring a Product Designer to become the first dedicated UX specialist in its UK Wealth team. This is a rare chance to define the design approach for how financial advisers and wealth managers use next-generation investment technology. You will help establish design practices from scratch, shape user experience direction, and deliver practical solutions that support both professionals and their clients.
In this position, you will work closely with Product, Engineering, and international UX colleagues. The role offers exposure to AI-led innovation, involvement in a flagship platform, and the opportunity to influence how user-centred design is adopted and scaled across the business.
FE fundinfo is a major financial data provider linking the investment sector across the UK, Europe, and Asia-Pacific through one integrated platform. The company aims to help clients navigate complexity with confidence through data-driven insight. It promotes a collaborative, inclusive culture where ownership and innovation are encouraged.
The role is based in London, England, United Kingdom, with hybrid working options across the Woking and Soho offices, offering a blend of flexibility and strong team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Run user research activities such as interviews, usability tests, and discovery workshops with IFAs and wealth managers.
- Convert research findings into practical design choices that help shape product strategy.
- Develop wireframes, user journeys, and interactive prototypes to explore and explain design ideas.
- Create clear, easy-to-use interfaces that balance business objectives with technical limitations.
- Establish and maintain design systems, components, and guidelines to support consistency across products.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and global UX teams to deliver solutions centred on user needs.
Requirements
- Background in UX research, UX design, or a mixed role covering both areas.
- Confidence in leading research and turning findings into structured, actionable insight.
- Strong ability with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or comparable software.
- Experience producing wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that communicate design intent effectively.
- Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating across functions.
Benefits
- 25 days of annual leave, plus the option to purchase up to 5 additional days each year.
- Enhanced maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave.
- Pension scheme support.
- Sponsored learning and development, including support for formal qualifications.
- Private medical insurance.
- Discounted gym membership.
- Bike to Work scheme.
- Eye care support and flu jab services.
Additional information
The company values a collaborative and inclusive workplace, with room for innovation and personal ownership. As the first UX hire in the UK Wealth team, you will have significant autonomy to shape design standards while being backed by a global UX community.
The employer aims to respond with feedback within 5 working days.
