Role overview
A well-established European maker of power tools and outdoor equipment is hiring a Product Compliance & Certification Specialist to handle product regulatory compliance and certification work across the GCC. The position ensures that items stay certified, documented, and legally ready for sale in regional markets.
What you will do
- Oversee product certification, registrations, and renewal processes across GCC countries.
- Work with factories and international teams to collect technical files, test evidence, declarations of conformity, and other compliance records.
- Communicate with regulators, certification agencies, and testing labs as needed.
- Monitor certificate expiry timelines, renewal obligations, and submission deadlines.
- Assist with product approvals, market-entry filings, and registration requirements.
- Keep compliance trackers, databases, and document archives accurate and up to date.
- Arrange product testing and certification follow-up with external laboratories.
- Stay on top of regulatory updates and evaluate how they affect current and future products.
- Help with customs clearance and import paperwork when relevant.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Product Management, Quality, and Commercial teams to avoid disruptions in product supply.
What we are looking for
- Between 5 and 7 years of experience in product compliance, certification, product registration, or regulatory affairs.
- Background working with regulated products such as electrical goods, power tools, consumer electronics, appliances, lighting, or industrial equipment.
- Good knowledge of GCC certification systems and exposure to bodies or programs such as SASO, GSO, MOIAT (formerly ESMA), SABER, or comparable frameworks.
- Hands-on experience handling technical documents, laboratory reports, and certification renewals.
- Strong coordination, administrative, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage several certification assignments at the same time.
