Job description
About Camunda
Camunda provides an enterprise-grade orchestration platform for agentic workflows, helping businesses coordinate AI agents, people, and systems across complex processes from start to finish. The platform includes governance, audit trails, and human oversight so companies can safely move AI initiatives from pilot projects into production at scale. More than 700 organizations around the world use Camunda, including 9 of the top 10 U.S. banks, to improve efficiency, reduce time to value, and create better customer experiences.
The company is fully remote and global, and is actively transforming into an AI-first organization built on its own platform. It uses agentic AI to automate and orchestrate intelligent processes while increasing the impact of human contribution across teams. Camunda has also been recognized on GP Bullhound’s Top 100 Next Unicorn list, is Great Place to Work certified for 2025, was named a Visionary in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Orchestration and Automation Technologies, and ranked 3rd in Flexa’s 2026 Most Flexible Companies.
Role Overview
Camunda is hiring a Product Builder to help shape the future of Operate by combining product judgment, empathy for users, UX decision-making, and hands-on delivery. This is a high-ownership position within the Products organization for someone who wants to work quickly, partner directly with customers and forward deployed engineers, and build in an AI-first environment. The initial focus will be on the web app experience in Operate, with future work expanding across the full stack to speed up end-to-end delivery.
What You Will Do
- Work with customers, forward deployed engineers, and internal stakeholders to uncover and refine important user problems in Operate.
- Use practical judgment and rapid iteration to influence product direction, focusing on solving the root issue rather than simply delivering requested features.
- Prototype, develop, strengthen, launch, and refine improvements across the Operate experience.
- Leverage AI tools to speed up drafting, implementation, iteration, and learning while maintaining a high quality standard.
- Partner with other builders and product strategy teammates to turn ideas into released product outcomes.
- Help the pod improve its speed, quality, and overall ability to deliver product work end to end.
What You Bring
- Proven experience delivering product in a software environment.
- Comfort moving between product thinking, user experience, and hands-on execution.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and turn open-ended challenges into clear next steps.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in a remote-first, pod-based setup.
- Curiosity about users, willingness to learn quickly, and a strong bias toward iteration and improvement.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Practical experience building and shipping product within a software context, not just managing requirements or roadmaps.
- Strong AI-native working habits, including effective use of AI for first drafts, implementation support, and iteration, with the discipline to review and improve weak output.
- Ability to define and communicate the intended user experience clearly, including flow, hierarchy, states, copy, and accessibility expectations.
- Strong product and customer judgment, including the ability to understand the real problem behind a request, use lightweight evidence and customer feedback, and make pragmatic decisions that create broader product value.
- Sound technical judgment within an established architecture, including testing completed work, tracing issues, understanding frontend/backend boundaries, and contributing beyond a purely frontend scope over time.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Background in workflow software, orchestration, operations tooling, or similarly technical product surfaces.
- Experience working in small, high-autonomy pods with shared ownership across discovery, design, and delivery.
- Familiarity with process monitoring, incident handling, or operational user experiences.
- Ability to document validation learnings clearly, separate signal from noise, and improve lightweight product validation practices.
Compensation
Camunda offers competitive, fair, and transparent pay. Compensation is location-based, with Standard and Major markets reflecting local competition. The Annual Total Target Cash includes base salary plus 100% variable target where applicable, and the company usually hires in the first half of the range to leave room for growth. If you are located outside the listed markets, employment will be arranged through Remote.com, and a personalized Total Rewards Calculator will be shared after the first interview.
Location-based annual total target cash ranges are: United States, $119,900 to $193,200; United Kingdom, £75,300 to £123,800; Singapore, S$148,900 to S$223,300.
Equity may also be provided through the Virtual Stock Option Plan, where applicable.
Benefits and Perks
- Flexible remote work from anywhere, with a home office budget, co-working support, and flexible time off.
- Opportunities for in-person connection through the annual kickoff, team offsites, Camundi Connection Budgets, travel meetup support, and local gatherings.
- Locally tailored healthcare, access to Modern Health for global mental wellbeing, and the Live Well Lifestyle Spending Account, which launches in 2026 and scales to €1,000 annually from 2027.
- Retirement and pension plans, often with company contributions, plus life and disability insurance where relevant.
- Up to $/€/£1,000 per year for self-directed learning such as courses, certifications, or books.
