Job description

About the Role

This position is for experienced quantitative specialists who want to contribute to AI training. You will collaborate with advanced AI systems by reviewing AI-produced quantitative work, tackling technical problem-solving tasks, and sharing feedback that helps improve how the models handle data, statistical reasoning, scientific analysis, and modeling challenges. The role is well suited to people from fields such as data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, and other quantitative disciplines.

Some contributors use this work to supplement a full-time job, while others treat it as their main professional focus. After creating an account, you will complete a brief assessment used in place of a standard interview. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid assignments will be unlocked on the platform.

Why Work as a Contractor

  • You can select the projects you want to take on and decide when to work.
  • The work is done on your own device, on a schedule that fits you, from home.
  • Compensation begins at USD 50 to 100+ per hour, with some projects offering additional bonus pay.

Key Responsibilities

Your main focus will be to help improve AI systems for quantitative reasoning by evaluating outputs, building problems, and giving precise feedback.

  • Review AI-generated quantitative analyses for technical correctness and practical validity, including statistical work, predictive models, scientific reasoning, and data-backed conclusions.
  • Create and solve quantitative tasks that are used to train and test AI systems across forecasting, experiment analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
  • Draft concise technical explanations and maintain clear, well-structured analytical code.
  • Share feedback that influences the next generation of AI models focused on quantitative thinking.

Qualifications

  • You should have at least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative role or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related area.
  • Comfort with coding is necessary, including the ability to write and review analytical code from start to finish.
  • You should have real-world exposure to statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and experiment design, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
  • Strong English communication skills are required, at a native or bilingual level.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering is preferred; a master’s degree or PhD is an added advantage.
  • Additional proof of expertise, such as Kaggle rankings or AWS/GCP machine learning certifications, is considered a plus.

Additional Information

Payment is processed through PayPal, and currency conversion from USD will be handled by PayPal where needed. No payment or fee will ever be requested from applicants. Candidates will be considered only if they are based in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand. This role is offered on an independent contractor basis.

The role is intended for people who think rigorously about data, models, and scientific problems, and who can apply quantitative judgment in an AI training environment.
