Job description
Position overview
As a Produce Stocker with Walmart Canada, you’ll help keep the produce department customer-ready while building practical experience in retail. This role focuses on delivering strong customer service, keeping the department organized and well stocked, and supporting the sale of merchandise in line with Walmart’s core values.
Key duties
- Keep the produce section neat, organized, and properly zoned.
- Rotate inventory and remove items that are expired.
- Make sure products are correctly labeled, signed, and priced.
- Follow cold-chain rules, including thermometer checks and temperature logs, along with food handling, product rotation, sell-by, and expiry-date practices.
- Use approved food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures at all times.
- Carry out ordering-related tasks and handle clearance, markups/markdowns, and signage/labeling requirements correctly.
- Ensure the department is fully stocked and ready to serve customers.
- Work according to health and safety requirements.
- Stock merchandise, pick items as needed, downstock when applicable, apply product protection where required, and help set modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
Pay
The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.45.
