Job description
Role overview
This role is focused on managing the full procurement cycle for facilities management services, materials, and related contracts in a healthcare setting. The objective is to keep costs controlled, maintain compliance, and ensure hospital operations continue smoothly without disruptions.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, source, and purchase facilities management services and supplies, including MEP, HVAC, soft services, waste handling, utilities, and annual maintenance contracts.
- Draft RFQs and RFPs, compare vendor proposals, negotiate commercial and contractual terms, and close agreements.
- Monitor supplier delivery and service performance through SLAs, KPIs, and contract renewal tracking.
- Track and maintain inventory for consumables, equipment tools, and spare parts used in FM operations.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with healthcare regulations and safety requirements, including DHA, DOH, and MOHAP standards.
- Keep procurement files, reports, and supporting records complete and ready for audits.
- Coordinate with facilities management, engineering, and clinical stakeholders to address procurement requirements on time.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Prior procurement experience of 5 to 7 years in healthcare or facilities management is expected.
- Hands-on understanding of FM categories and AMC handling is important for this role.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is required.
- CIPS or CPSM certification is preferred.
