Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in standardizing specifications for equipment, drawings, and documentation templates.
  • Contribute to understanding and applying technical knowledge, legal mandates, and customer requirements in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Apply local and global engineering standards to uphold technical quality.
  • Support review processes including checks, peer reviews, and implementing feedback.
  • Ensure adherence to recognized engineering practices for onshore and offshore process designs.
  • Develop design specifications related to process engineering.
  • Assist in managing project changes, coordinate corrective actions with project management regarding issues, staffing, scope adjustments, or progression impacts.
  • Plan and oversee quality assurance activities, suggest improvements, and intervene when necessary.
  • Provide technical advice within the discipline, collaborate with project teams, and consult key resources as needed.
  • Manage design review and approvals concerning client requirements and interfaces.
  • Draft the process Scope of Work (SoW) and obtain approval from senior management.
  • Estimate required man-hours for process tasks using established norms.
  • Ensure all outputs are reviewed and approved before release.

Quality Assurance

  • Operate within the established Quality Assurance frameworks and guidelines.

Safety Obligations

  • Maintain personal safety and comply with Occupational Health & Safety protocols.
  • Implement Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) best practices in design, emphasizing process safety.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Mandatory Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) engineering accreditation or willingness to obtain it during probation.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer status or pursuing it considered advantageous.
  • Proven process engineering experience in oil and gas sectors, specifically for both offshore and onshore projects.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects and teams within similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of discipline design and engineering with diverse exposure to various areas.
  • Hands-on experience with simulation and hydraulic processes.
