For its Eurofins Umwelt Südwest GmbH team, the company is looking for a Sample Collector (m/f/d) in Trier as soon as possible, on a full-time and permanent basis.

Role overview

In this role, you will act as the company’s on-site representative with customers and serve as the main contact person for sampling-related matters. You will carry out sampling in a wide range of areas and maintain the equipment and vehicles used for this work.

Key duties

• Represent Eurofins Umwelt professionally at customer locations and provide knowledgeable support on sampling topics.
• Carry out sampling in diverse fields such as solids, groundwater, wastewater, cooling water, drinking water, bathing pool water, and landfill gas in a careful and customer-friendly manner.
• Prepare sampling records in line with the applicable requirements and current standards.
• Take responsibility for cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of work tools and sampling vehicles.
• Contribute actively to continuous quality improvement and help identify root causes when issues arise so they can be prevented in the future.

What we are looking for

• A solid technical understanding and a careful, responsible way of working.
• Ideally, completed training in a technical or scientific field, such as chemical technical assistant, biological technical assistant, or environmental technical assistant.
• Career changers with interest in a new subject area are also encouraged to apply.
• Enthusiasm, physical stamina, flexibility, and a cooperative mindset.
• Interest in digital tools and systems, plus strong willingness to learn, reliability, and commitment.
• An independent, efficient, and well-structured working style.
• A valid Class B driving licence for travelling to customer sites.
• Very good German language skills, both spoken and written.
