Role overview
UBS is hiring a Private Equity Investment Associate in New York to support private-market investing across primary commitments, secondaries, and co-investments. The position is suited to someone who enjoys interpreting complex investment information, translating it into practical conclusions, and contributing to allocation decisions for Asset and Wealth Management clients.
What you will do
- Perform market research and build financial analyses for prospective primary investments and fund commitments, while also showing interest in secondary deals and co-investment opportunities.
- Support due diligence by reviewing fund materials, assessing historical performance, and examining deal terms and structures.
- Draft investment memos and formulate recommendations for review by internal decision-making committees.
- Track portfolio results and prepare ongoing analysis of current investments.
- Work closely with colleagues to refine investment approaches and identify additional opportunities.
- Keep investment records accurate and help meet reporting obligations.
Team and environment
You will join UBS’ Unified Global Alternatives Platform in New York as part of the Private Equity investment team. The role reports to the UGA Head of Private Equity Americas and provides strong visibility, frequent collaboration across functions, and the chance to influence outcomes in a changing market.
Experience and background needed
- About 3 to 6 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or asset management.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a closely related discipline; an MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Strong analytical and numerical ability, with hands-on financial modeling skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication, along with strong presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of primary investments, secondary investments, and co-investments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative team setting.
Compensation and benefits
The stated gross base pay range for this full-time role in New York is USD 120,000 to USD 150,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, and skill level.
