A respected private equity firm in Dublin is hiring an Investment Associate to strengthen its expanding deal team. The business has a strong history of backing growth-oriented companies and helping them navigate transformation, and it is now looking for a candidate who can contribute across the full investment journey.

What you will do
- Assess prospective investments through detailed financial, commercial and strategic analysis.
- Build, update and stress-test valuation and financial models to inform investment decisions.
- Support acquisitions, refinancing processes and exit transactions from execution through completion.
- Help manage due diligence workstreams across financial, commercial, operational and legal areas by coordinating external advisers.
- Work with portfolio company management teams to track performance and support value creation plans.
- Research markets, sectors, competitors and emerging opportunities to identify attractive investments.
- Build productive relationships with management teams, advisers, lenders and other market participants.
- Prepare investment committee papers, presentations and supporting materials for internal review.
Profile sought
The employer is seeking a high-performing finance candidate with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, M&A Advisory, Deals Advisory, Investment Banking or Private Equity. Experience in a leading professional services firm, advisory platform, investment bank or similar investing environment is preferred, especially where the work has involved complex transactions.
Applicants should bring strong financial modelling and valuation ability, excellent academic results and a consistent record of progression. The ideal person will be commercially minded, analytical, highly organised and comfortable operating in a demanding, fast-paced and intellectually rigorous setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also important, as the role involves engaging with senior stakeholders, management teams and external advisers with confidence and professionalism.
