Responsibilities

• Provide essential support for the daily operations of HMP Wayland.
• Conduct security checks and searches at the prison entrance.
• Manage incoming deliveries and shipments.
• Supervise visitor interactions.
• Monitor phone calls and CCTV feeds for security purposes.
• Undertake a mix of desk-based tasks and physical duties, including lifting, carrying, and escorting vehicles within the prison grounds.
• Work a variety of shifts, including weekends and nights, to ensure continuous operation.

Requirements

• No formal qualifications are required.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Good judgment and common sense are necessary.
• Must be a strong team player.
• Consideration for transport options to the prison, as public transport may be limited. A driving licence and personal transport are beneficial but not mandatory unless specified.
