About the role
His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service is recruiting prison officers for HMP Highpoint. This is a demanding, people-focused role where you help maintain safety, support rehabilitation, and contribute to protecting the public.
The position offers a salary range of £35,746 to £40,003 and is suited to someone with integrity, resilience, and strong interpersonal skills. The work is varied and fast-moving, with no two days being the same.

Key duties
As a prison officer, you may take on a wide range of responsibilities in a single shift. At different moments, you may need to act as a mediator, a supporter, or an educator while working closely with prisoners in a secure environment.
The role is centered on daily engagement with prisoners, maintaining order, and helping individuals move toward positive change.
Working pattern
You will need to be available for rotating shift patterns, including weekends.
