Job description

About the Company

BGBx is an independent commercial solutions partner serving pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations. The team brings together strategists, scientists, communicators, creatives, technologists, and data specialists to solve high-stakes healthcare challenges. Work spans consulting and communications, supporting clients in setting strategy, launching products, engaging stakeholders, and improving outcomes across the product lifecycle.

BGB Group’s Innovation x Intelligence (IxI) team combines consulting rigor with brand strategy thinking. Backed by BGB Group and Kx Advisors, the group helps biopharma clients develop stronger, more informed commercial strategies through primary research, analysis, and real-world experience.

Role Overview

This position is suited to a strategic leader who enjoys complexity, ambiguity, and turning data into practical direction. As a Principal, you will oversee important client engagements, help guide commercial decisions for leading biopharma companies, and contribute to the growth of the practice through relationship building, proposal development, and strategic planning.

The role calls for someone who can think commercially, communicate clearly, and collaborate across disciplines while delivering work that has a tangible impact on healthcare brands and patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Balance project leadership, delivery oversight, and business development responsibilities.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and discussion partner for clients and senior firm leaders.
  • Use IxI tools and client inputs to develop clear written and verbal recommendations.
  • Work with senior colleagues to define project scope and prepare proposals for new work.
  • Take part in practice planning, including broader strategy and marketing efforts.
  • Review research and data to identify insights and translate them into practical recommendations.
  • Create polished, client-facing presentations that communicate ideas with clarity and impact.
  • Collaborate with creatives, behavioral scientists, technologists, and other cross-functional specialists.
  • Support business development by helping prepare proposals and strengthening client relationships.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the consulting practice through strategic planning and marketing initiatives.

What You Bring

  • 7 to 8 years of experience in life sciences consulting, ideally with a leading consulting firm or a life sciences data organization.
  • BA/BS degree required; an MBA or master’s degree in a related area is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to connect disparate data points into coherent insights.
  • Demonstrated leadership across multiple workstreams and teams.
  • Excellent communication and people management capabilities.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with curiosity and sound judgment.
  • Foreign language ability is an advantage, though not mandatory.

Why Join

  • Small-team feel with the support of a larger organization behind it.
  • Meaningful, high-impact work with early ownership and responsibility.
  • A learning-focused environment with mentorship, peer support, and room to grow.
  • A collaborative and curious culture that values serious work without taking itself too seriously.
  • A role where strategy, creativity, insight, and behavior intersect.
  • Work tied to a mission of improving lives through better healthcare decisions.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role is between $180,000 and $195,000, with bonus eligibility.

Compensation may vary based on direct and indirect experience, education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational needs. Salary is only one part of the overall rewards package.

Eligible employees may receive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Some benefits may vary by location.
