Prime Mover Driver (Changi)

Role Overview

This position is for a prime mover driver based in Changi, supporting cargo movement and logistics operations for an airport-related workflow. The role involves hands-on handling of shipments, vehicle operation, and coordination to ensure goods are moved safely and on schedule.

Working Schedule

Work hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday from 7:00am to 11:00am. The schedule works out to 5.5 working days per week, and the job is located at Alps Ave, Changi.

Key Duties

• Support logistics activities including wrapping, packing, labelling, scanning, and completing the required cargo paperwork.
• Load import cargo into the company vehicle and deliver it to customers within the expected timeline.
• Handle export cargo by loading it into the vehicle and returning it to the airport warehouse on time.
• Carry out basic vehicle upkeep and keep the vehicle area clean and orderly.
• Flag any damage to vehicles or cargo that happens because of an accident.
• Inspect, count, and manage cargo carefully to ensure proper handling.
• Keep radio communication active and consistent during operations.
• Follow all safety rules and job-site requirements while performing duties.
• Take on other tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum education level of Primary School.
• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Must hold a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence.
• Comfortable working independently and without close supervision.
• Physically fit and able to handle lifting and carrying loads.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Shows initiative and can act proactively.
• Has good communication ability.
• Prepared to work extended hours when needed.
