About the Role
Skanska, a global leader in project development and construction, is seeking a Premises Assistant to join their Building Services team in Chelmsford, Essex. This role is integral to supporting the Premises Manager and onsite team, acting as a key liaison with the Helpdesk, cleaning, and grounds staff to ensure the highest service standards. The position involves cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide caretaking services within the school premises as part of the onsite team.
- Adhere strictly to all statutory and regulatory requirements, including Health and Safety legislation and established safe work practices.
- Execute planned and reactive maintenance tasks as directed by the PPM plan, Helpdesk, and line manager.
- Monitor and ensure the cleanliness of school premises and furnishings, reporting any issues to the line manager and Helpdesk.
- Assist in the management of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (CoSHH) onsite.
- Operate heating plant systems to maintain required internal temperatures and ensure adequate hot water supply, implementing frost precaution measures as needed.
