About the role
Ideal Solutions is seeking a Pre-Sales Technical Specialist to strengthen its IT solutions, client engagement, and business development efforts. The position is suited to a professional who can bridge technical expertise with customer-facing communication, helping shape solution offerings, prepare proposals, and support pre-sales activities.
Work setup
This role is based in Doha, Qatar and follows an office-based arrangement, with occasional visits to clients. The working schedule runs from Sunday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The organization is certified as a Great Place to Work® 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the sales process by advising on solution design and fit.
- Run discovery discussions with clients to identify their business and technical needs.
- Develop technical proposals, quotations, presentations, and proof-of-concept materials.
- Suggest appropriate IT solutions based on customer requirements and project scope.
- Work closely with internal teams to keep commercial and technical expectations aligned.
- Take part in client meetings, product demos, technical conversations, and solution walkthroughs.
- Study market movements, spot new business opportunities, and assist with strategic initiatives.
- Keep documentation, reports, and sales records accurate and up to date.
- Represent the company in meetings, events, and networking activities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in pre-sales, business development, technical solutions, or a similar IT position.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of IT solutions, systems, and current technologies.
- Hands-on experience creating proposals, presentations, quotations, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
- Ability to collect client requirements and turn them into workable business solutions.
- Well-developed communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent English and Arabic communication skills, both spoken and written, are mandatory.
- Experience in market research, lead generation, and partner engagement is beneficial.
- Professional certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, RHCE, CEH, or CISSP are considered an advantage.
- Applicants must currently be based in Qatar and hold a valid QID.
