About the role
Worley Consulting is looking for a Practice Lead for Ports Advisory & Logistics within its Ports & Marine service line in the EMEA region. The role reports to the Managing Consultant, Ports & Marine, and is focused on building and expanding the Port Advisory & Logistics practice across the region. The position may be located in Madrid or Saudi Arabia.

What you will do
- Build a regional centre of expertise in port advisory and logistics.
- Drive business development and grow client relationships across the region.
- Work with subject matter experts in other regions and service lines, including decarbonisation, logistics, and offshore wind.
- Support strategic hiring and mentor team members.
- Shape the practice strategy with business leadership using input from existing customers, project developers, financiers, and port operators.
- Ensure accountability for the practice’s delivery, performance, administration, and operating efficiency.
- Provide guidance on port strategy, technical due diligence, transaction advisory, market and cargo forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, financial modelling, logistics modelling, and terminal operations.
- Spot new business opportunities within and beyond the immediate area of responsibility by collaborating across service lines and with other leaders.
- Leverage current client relationships and internal networks to develop a maritime and port advisory client base and project pipeline.
Experience and qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in the ports sector; more than 15 years is preferred.
- Postgraduate study in project finance, maritime economics, or a closely related field is preferred.
- Recognised within the industry as an expert in one or more areas of port advisory and logistics.
- Strong customer orientation along with marketing and business development capability for specialist port advisory services.
- Experience in techno-commercial advisory business development and project delivery will be an advantage.
