Role Overview
The organization is looking for an experienced PR Officer Manager to take ownership of public relations and corporate communications. In this position, you will guide media relations, protect and enhance reputation, shape communication strategy, and ensure clear, consistent messaging across all channels.
What You'll Do
- Supervise, coach, and coordinate a team of PR and communications professionals.
- Create and roll out public relations plans that support business objectives.
- Develop long-term relationships with journalists, media houses, and relevant industry contacts.
- Draft, edit, and approve press releases, media updates, speeches, and other corporate communication content.
- Handle media requests, interview coordination, and outward-facing communication.
- Watch brand perception closely and introduce proactive reputation-protection measures.
- Plan and support PR campaigns, events, and company announcements.
- Work closely with marketing, leadership, and outside partners to keep messaging aligned.
- Lead crisis communication efforts and prepare responses when urgent situations arise.
- Measure media exposure, campaign outcomes, and PR performance, then share practical insights and recommendations.
Requirements
The ideal applicant has a strong background in public relations, corporate communications, and media handling, along with leadership experience and the ability to manage sensitive communication matters in a fast-moving environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in PR, corporate communications, media relations, or a closely related area.
- Preferably 2 or more years in a supervisory, lead, or managerial capacity.
- Excellent written, spoken, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated strength in media relations, reputation management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to produce engaging communication content for different audience groups.
- Solid organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience planning and delivering PR campaigns and communication strategies.
- Comfortable working under pressure and managing confidential or sensitive situations.
- Capable of working independently in a remote setting.
