Job description
Role overview
This position sits within a fast-paced team that handles marine incidents, supports search-and-rescue efforts, and carries out enforcement under the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Act 1996 together with its related regulations across the Port of Singapore and Singapore Waters.
Key duties
In this role, you will perform enforcement work at sea on your own. You will be placed on rotating shift schedules and assigned to various port sectors to check that vessels and craft follow both international and local rules. Your work will help protect lives, property, and the marine environment. You must also be ready to respond to emergencies when needed.
Training and development
Selected candidates will receive specialised instruction in enforcement and drone operations. These programmes are designed to build the core capabilities needed to carry out the job effectively.
Who should apply
Applicants who want to contribute to the protection and sustainability of Singapore’s maritime ecosystem through enforcement, maritime technology, and a working knowledge of port operations and the shipping or marine sector are encouraged to apply. Fresh graduates from maritime, engineering, or other technical fields may also be considered.
The organisation is prepared to provide full training to suitable candidates who show the right attitude, a strong willingness to learn new technologies, and the ability to adapt to changing demands.
Successful candidates should be comfortable interacting with others, able to think in an analytical way, and willing to work on a rotating shift pattern.
