Role overview
GETP Holding is hiring pool lifeguards to support a club operation in Doha Metropolitan Area. The role is based at Al Banush Club, Mesaieed and requires close attention to swimmer safety, rule enforcement, and emergency response.
There are 4 openings in total: 2 for female candidates and 2 for male candidates.
What the role involves
- Keep a constant watch over pool users and maintain awareness of everything happening in the assigned area.
- Actively prevent unsafe situations by spotting risks early and responding before they become serious incidents.
- Enforce pool rules and safety procedures for all swimmers, including children.
- Address unsafe conduct in the pool and ensure user behavior remains appropriate and well controlled.
- Provide immediate first aid, CPR, and rescue support for swimmers in distress or danger.
- Coordinate with housekeeping to make sure the pool area, toilets, and pool deck benches are cleaned and sanitized after use.
- Manage crowd flow and help maintain order around the pool.
- Check daily that vacuum suctions remain closed for safety.
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by management or the representative.
Education and experience
- Applicants must have completed secondary school and be able to communicate fluently in English.
- A minimum of 3 years of lifeguard experience is required, preferably in an international hotel, recreational club, or the hospitality sector.
- Candidates should hold training certificates in swimming or emergency rescue, first aid, and CPR.
- A Pool and Beach Lifeguard Awareness Training Certificate is also required.
Safety focus
This position requires strong vigilance, quick decision-making, and a consistent focus on swimmer protection, especially when monitoring children and identifying potentially dangerous situations.
