Role overview

Circet Ireland & UK is recruiting a Poling Operative for its Power division in County Mayo. This position sits within the project team and is focused on carrying out work to a high standard, following procedures, maintaining productivity, and keeping costs under control.

Key duties

  • Install and remove poles, including preparing and dressing newly erected poles.
  • Replace and renew existing drop wires.
  • Carry out replacement and renewal work on overhead and underground joints within the ESB network.
  • Make sure all work is completed in line with service level agreements.
  • Perform duties in compliance with health and safety legislation, as well as company and client safety standards.

Experience and technical requirements

Applicants should have Pole Erection Unit and HIAB experience.

Required attributes

  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to remain composed under pressure.
  • Hardworking, committed, and comfortable working collaboratively to achieve strong team outcomes.
  • Computer literate with the ability to operate a tablet device.
  • Street works qualifications at operative level, including Cat Genny training.
  • A full Irish driving licence is required; each crew will also need an HGV Class 2 licence.
