Policy Consultant

Role overview

This remote Policy Consultant position is focused on supporting the development and refinement of AI systems through expert-quality policy work. The role centers on producing accurate, practical, and well-structured input that helps models learn and respond more effectively in real-world scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Examine, write, and refine policy materials, legal agreements, proposals, and research documents while making full use of advanced Word and PDF capabilities.
• Offer strategic guidance and practical recommendations across regulatory, legal, healthcare, academic, or finance-related topics.
• Perform detailed document checks to ensure accuracy, compliance, clarity, and alignment with established best practices.
• Assist with precise formatting, tracked edits, form completion, and information extraction from documents.
• Work with cross-functional teams to turn complex information into concise policies and procedures that can be acted on easily.
• Keep up with changes in regulations and guidance relevant to the subject area.
• Present conclusions and recommendations clearly in both written and spoken communication.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience in government policy operations.
• Strong command of Word and PDF tools, including tracked changes, formatting, document review, and data extraction.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and professionally in writing and speech.
• Solid background in drafting, interpreting, and reviewing complex policy or regulatory materials.
• Ability to juggle multiple assignments and deliver under tight deadlines in a remote, fast-moving setting.
• Strong accuracy and a consistent focus on producing high-quality work.
• Experience with Fortune 500 clients or high-visibility regulatory, legal, or policy work is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with teams from different disciplines to deliver strong results is preferred.
