For its railway power supply projects across Germany, the company is looking for a full-time Planning Engineer (m/f/d) in Frankfurt am Main.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan new installations and conversion work for rectifier substations.
  • Create layout drawings, installation plans, grounding plans, and technical construction drawings.
  • Support the execution and coordination of projects.
  • Coordinate interfaces with the relevant technical disciplines.
  • Carry out site surveys and on-site conversion planning.
  • Maintain the project’s planning documentation.
  • Prepare enquiry documents for installation materials.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering or a similar field.
  • Several years of experience as a planning engineer; background in power distribution, renewable energy, electrical equipment, electrical machines, railways, or related areas is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, commitment, and flexibility.
  • Confident handling of VOB, HOAI, applicable standards, and technical regulations.
  • Proven ability to produce planning documents professionally and on time, including interface coordination.
  • Several years of experience with CAD-based planning systems.
  • Experience with MS Project.
  • High willingness to travel.
  • Advantageous: basic knowledge of automation.
  • Advantageous: advanced knowledge of quality assurance processes.
  • Very good German skills at C2 level, spoken and written, and good English skills at B2 level; additional languages are a plus.
