For its railway power supply projects across Germany, the company is looking for a full-time Planning Engineer (m/f/d) in Frankfurt am Main.
Key responsibilities
- Plan new installations and conversion work for rectifier substations.
- Create layout drawings, installation plans, grounding plans, and technical construction drawings.
- Support the execution and coordination of projects.
- Coordinate interfaces with the relevant technical disciplines.
- Carry out site surveys and on-site conversion planning.
- Maintain the project’s planning documentation.
- Prepare enquiry documents for installation materials.
Requirements
- Completed degree in electrical engineering or a similar field.
- Several years of experience as a planning engineer; background in power distribution, renewable energy, electrical equipment, electrical machines, railways, or related areas is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, commitment, and flexibility.
- Confident handling of VOB, HOAI, applicable standards, and technical regulations.
- Proven ability to produce planning documents professionally and on time, including interface coordination.
- Several years of experience with CAD-based planning systems.
- Experience with MS Project.
- High willingness to travel.
- Advantageous: basic knowledge of automation.
- Advantageous: advanced knowledge of quality assurance processes.
- Very good German skills at C2 level, spoken and written, and good English skills at B2 level; additional languages are a plus.
