About the role

Avidety is hiring a Planner to join its expanding team in an office-based position with occasional site visits. In this role, you will help coordinate and schedule electrical distribution, civil engineering, and construction activities so that work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

You will work alongside project managers, engineers, field teams, contractors, and suppliers to organise resources, manage timelines, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects across the UK.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and keep up-to-date programmes for construction, maintenance, and electrical distribution work.
  • Work with project managers, engineers, field teams, contractors, and suppliers to keep delivery aligned.
  • Build work packs containing the job scope, drawings, permits, materials lists, and resource needs.
  • Plan labour, plant, and materials to improve output and reduce avoidable delays.
  • Monitor job progress and revise schedules when priorities or conditions change.
  • Assist with outage planning while helping to limit disruption for customers.
  • Coordinate with procurement so materials and equipment are ready before work starts.
  • Keep planning records accurate and maintain updates in work management systems.
  • Follow KPIs and look for ways to improve planning methods and workflows.
  • Make sure all planned activities meet health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

What the company is looking for

The ideal candidate will have experience planning, scheduling, or coordinating work in utilities, electricity, infrastructure, or construction environments. You should be highly organised, comfortable solving problems, and confident working with a range of stakeholders.

A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is important, along with the ability to juggle several priorities in a busy, fast-moving setting.

Additional information

This is a full-time role based in EPN - Bedfordshire, with office-based working and occasional visits to site.
