About The Role
Tullow Oil is seeking a seasoned Piping & Valve Planner to ensure the safe and efficient operation of its FPSO assets. This role involves planning and coordinating maintenance for piping, valves, pressure systems, and integrity-related tasks, ensuring all work scopes are meticulously prepared for offshore execution. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Asset Integrity, Operations, Supply Chain, and offshore maintenance teams to uphold asset integrity, support maintenance campaigns, and resolve piping and valve issues promptly. While primarily an onshore position, periodic offshore travel is expected for maintenance campaigns, inspections, anomaly resolution, shutdowns, and readiness activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive work-packs and execution plans for maintenance activities related to piping, valves, pressure systems, and structures.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of maintenance campaigns, shutdowns, repairs, modifications, and upgrade projects.
- Manage backlogs for piping, valve, pressure system, and temporary repair maintenance to ensure timely defect and anomaly remediation.
- Provide support for Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) inspection, testing, overhaul, and recertification processes.
- Coordinate necessary materials, contractor resources, logistics, and offshore readiness to ensure work scopes are fully prepared for execution.
- Translate engineering recommendations, inspection findings, anomaly reports, and approved Management of Change (MOC) into actionable work scopes.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, planning data, and work orders within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Liaise effectively with contractors, vendors, inspection bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient offshore operations.
- Monitor the progress of planned activities and facilitate the timely closure of maintenance recommendations and integrity actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, reliability enhancement, and asset integrity initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess a Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, piping maintenance, valve maintenance, integrity management, or similar engineering roles.
- Prior experience in offshore oil and gas, FPSO, petrochemical, refining, power generation, or comparable industrial settings is essential.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of piping systems, valves, pressure systems, and maintenance planning methodologies.
- Experience supporting pressure system inspection programs, piping repair campaigns, valve maintenance, and temporary repair remediation is required.
- Proficiency with CMMS platforms such as SAP or Maximo is necessary.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and technical documentation is crucial.
- Experience in coordinating contractors and overseeing maintenance execution activities is expected.
Key Competencies
- Exhibit strong planning and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Possess effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Demonstrate proactive problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Maintain a strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environment, and Asset Integrity.
- Be a team player, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Skilled in coordinating across various disciplines and contractor organizations.
- Maintain a sharp focus on execution readiness and maintenance efficiency.
Additional Requirements
- This role is primarily onshore but necessitates periodic offshore travel to support maintenance campaigns, inspections, anomaly assessments, shutdowns, and execution activities.
- Candidates must be prepared and able to travel offshore on short notice as operationally required.
- A valid BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) certification is mandatory.
- Must possess a valid offshore medical certificate or be capable of obtaining and maintaining one.
- Must meet all Company and regulatory requirements for offshore travel and work.
