Job Summary
This full-time Photoshop Retoucher role is based in Herndon, Virginia. The position involves retouching images and integrating 3D renders into photographs to create polished, photorealistic final assets. The person in this role will own the technical and visual quality of final image composition before delivery to clients.
The ideal candidate brings several years of experience combining CG renders with photography for realistic results, or performing advanced beauty retouching. A resume and portfolio are expected from applicants who are interested in the opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Use image analysis and camera knowledge to build convincing composites from high-quality CG renders and source plates supplied by global partners.
- Improve and refine the team’s retouching and compositing methods by adopting newer techniques and tools.
- Work closely with teammates, share knowledge, and contribute to a collaborative production environment.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in digital compositing and photo retouching for photorealistic output.
- Deep working knowledge of Photoshop.
- Understanding of render AOVs and how they are used in compositing workflows.
- Strong sense of realism, visual balance, and aesthetics.
- Ability to operate within established production pipelines and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Comfort working under pressure, managing multiple priorities, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to give and receive feedback.
- Self-driven approach and the ability to work independently.
- Commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Exposure to After Effects, Nuke, Fusion, or similar VFX tools is an added advantage.
- Classical art training is a plus.
- Photoshop scripting knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of human anatomy is desirable.
- Ability to complete job tasks without using AI tools.
- US citizenship is mandatory.
