What you will do

  • Complete the company’s training program to learn the knowledge and techniques needed for the role.
  • Put safety first in every task and interaction.
  • Follow an assigned route and daily schedule within your territory, arriving on time and working efficiently at each stop.
  • Drive and operate a company vehicle responsibly, keeping the vehicle and equipment clean and ready for use.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and strong ethical standards when working with customers and teammates.
  • Listen to customer concerns, identify the issue, and recommend the most effective and practical solution.
  • Visit customer homes or businesses to review the service performed, confirm satisfaction, and discuss optional additional services.
  • Inspect properties inside and out; training will be provided for inspection methods.
  • Keep customers informed about actions taken and pest management recommendations.
  • Complete service notes and records using a handheld device for accuracy and speed.

  • Starting pay ranges from $17 to $22 per hour, with commission opportunities.

Requirements

  • No prior pest control experience is needed; training is provided.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Must be able to obtain the required pesticide license within 90 days of employment; the company covers the cost.
  • Must be able to work independently in the field, manage route-based assignments, and interact with customers in their homes or businesses.

Work environment and physical requirements

  • Must be able to use a ladder safely within the manufacturer’s weight limits.
  • May need to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Must be able to access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, and similar areas, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Personal protective equipment is required, and an OSHA-compliant respirator may sometimes be needed.
  • Work may involve a variety of weather conditions.
