Role overview
Spinal Life Australia is seeking Support Workers / Personal Care Workers to provide in-home assistance to clients across Rockhampton and surrounding areas. The role focuses on helping people living with acquired spinal cord injuries maintain comfort, dignity, and independence in their daily lives.

Key duties
- Assist clients with moving between bed and wheelchair, including use of hoists where needed
- Support grooming, bathing, dressing, and oral hygiene routines
- Provide personal care such as toileting, bladder care, and bowel management
- Carry out basic wound care and support clients with self-administration of medication
- Help with household tasks, meal preparation, and laundry
- Provide community access support, including transport to appointments and social activities
What we are looking for
Applicants should be strong communicators who listen well and engage in a genuine, respectful way. The roster is fixed on a fortnightly basis, and shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnights. A current driver’s licence and access to a dependable vehicle are essential. Candidates must either hold, or be willing to obtain, NDIS Workers Screening and Blue Card checks. Prior experience in the field and/or relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
