Role Overview

This on-site position in Albany, Georgia calls for a Personal Care Assistant who can support clients with daily living needs and follow individualized care plans. The role includes direct personal assistance, observation of client condition, help with meals, upkeep of a clean and safe environment, companionship, and emotional support. The assistant is also expected to document care accurately, comply with safety and infection-control practices, and coordinate with supervisors, families, and other care professionals while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Duties

• Support clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance in line with their care plans.
• Watch for changes in a client’s condition and report concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor or care partner.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding when needed.
• Keep the living space clean, organized, and safe.
• Offer companionship and emotional reassurance to clients.
• Follow infection prevention and workplace safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on personal care ability, including safe help with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Previous experience delivering personal care in a home, community, or facility setting with attention to safety, dignity, and client preferences.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal abilities for working with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Patience, empathy, reliability, and respectful behavior when supporting people from varied backgrounds and needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; PCA, CNA, or HHA credentials are a plus.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work such as lifting, transferring, standing, and walking for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to follow care plans, organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and confidentiality rules.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification, TB skin test, clear background check, and dependable transportation.
