Job description
About the Role
42 Wolfsburg is a higher education NGO and start-up that prepares up to 600 students to become software engineers through a hands-on, peer-driven learning model. The school is built on the globally known 42 concept, created in Paris in 2013 and now running in 54 schools with more than 18,000 students worldwide. The mission at 42 Wolfsburg is to help train the next generation of European software engineers who will contribute to the digital infrastructure of society, offering meaningful work, strong career prospects, and a high level of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate every part of the Piscines, including the setup and launch of the next intake.
- Be present on site to help students with day-to-day concerns such as projects, examinations, time management, and motivation.
- Work with the tech team to identify the tools needed for curriculum tracking and monitoring.
- Assist the Pedagogy Lead with research topics, data interpretation, and the creation of new learning initiatives.
- Keep internal systems, the knowledge base, and related documentation up to date.
Requirements
- You must have the legal right to live and work in Germany.
- You should have completed the 42 Common Core or have a comparable educational background.
- At least 1 year of experience at a 42 campus or within a learning-focused organisation is required.
- You need a strong commitment to student success and to the 42 learning model.
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
- You should bring a friendly, supportive, proactive, flexible, and helpful attitude.
- You must share the organisation’s values of inclusivity and open-mindedness.
- Good-to-have: experience with C, C++, shell scripting, Python, or data analysis.
- Good-to-have: familiarity with the 42 API.
- German fluency is strongly preferred; additional language skills are also an advantage because of the highly international student community.
- Applicants are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every criterion, as the organisation values potential and a strong fit.
Perks and Benefits
- The opportunity to shape the student community at 42 Wolfsburg.
- Freedom to develop and pursue your own projects.
- Support for ongoing professional and personal growth, including a budget for seminars and conferences, internal training, and German classes.
Additional Information
The employment contract starts as a fixed-term agreement for 1 year, with the possibility of extension.
The workplace is fully on-site in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany.
42 Wolfsburg values individual differences and human diversity and maintains an inclusive, flexible working culture that recognises each team member’s strengths and talents.
