Job description

Overview

This onsite contract role focuses on delivering phone-based technical assistance to patients, resolving equipment problems, recording interactions accurately, and coordinating replacement equipment requests. The position also involves handling a high number of inbound and outbound calls, keeping information current in internal systems, and safeguarding confidential patient data.

Work Schedule and Contract Details

Work is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Pleasanton, CA location. The starting pay is $28+ per hour. This is a 12+ month W2 contract assignment, not a 1099 or C2C arrangement, and it may be extended or converted depending on performance and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical help to patients by phone and guide them through equipment-related issues.
  • Log calls and case details with accuracy and completeness.
  • Process requests for replacement equipment.
  • Manage a busy flow of incoming and outgoing calls while maintaining quality service.
  • Enter and update data carefully in the relevant systems.
  • Protect sensitive patient information by following established procedures.
  • Work with other teams to keep support tasks moving and ensure timely completion of daily follow-up items.
  • Deliver a courteous, patient-focused support experience in every interaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven customer service experience with strong communication, active listening, and patience when assisting patients or customers.
  • Solid computer literacy, technical understanding, and basic troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume setting while staying detail-oriented and maintaining accurate records.
  • Background in the medical or healthcare field is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred; an associate’s degree combined with additional relevant experience is also preferred.

Additional Information

Consultants become eligible for a benefits package after completing the qualification period. Available benefits include health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance.
