Overview
nimble solutions is hiring a full-time Patient Accounts Representative to support revenue cycle operations for ambulatory surgery centers, surgical clinics, surgical hospitals, and anesthesia groups. What You’ll Do
- Prepare accurate procedure estimates quickly using patient insurance details, benefit information, and historical data.
- Check insurance eligibility and coverage, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans, to identify the patient’s share of responsibility.
- Submit prior authorization requests for scheduled procedures using insurance, benefit, and clinical information.
- Speak with patients about their expected out-of-pocket costs and explain available payment arrangements or financial counseling support.
- Obtain needed pre-certifications and approvals while making sure documentation is complete and correct.
- Use several systems, including practice management tools, to research account details and answer patient questions thoroughly.
- Follow HIPAA privacy rules during inbound, outbound, and returned calls.
- Collect patient payment details by phone, complete the payment process, and add accurate notes to the account.
- Escalate complex issues to a supervisor or management when needed.
- Follow all client-specific policies throughout the patient billing cycle.
- Respond to requests in a professional, timely manner and complete follow-ups on any open items.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- Access to dependable transportation.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Strict respect for patient confidentiality and privacy requirements.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Excel.
- Good organization and time management capabilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Working Hours and Location
This is an 8-hour weekday role, scheduled Monday through Friday. The position is remote, but candidates living within 30 miles of the Chesterfield office may be considered for a hybrid arrangement.
