Role overview
DINGLI is seeking a Parts Interpreter to join its warehouse operation in Yatala, Queensland. This role supports the smooth running of the warehouse by handling spare parts sales, deliveries, stock management, goods receival and dispatch, and inventory checks within a global manufacturing environment.
Key duties
- Handle the sale, delivery, and day-to-day management of parts.
- Carry out operational warehouse tasks as part of the Dingli AWP site function.
- Load and unload containerised goods and transported products arriving at or leaving the warehouse.
- Respond to customer enquiries in person and by phone about spare parts, logistics, service, and support.
- Pick, pack, and prepare goods for shipping or transport.
- Prepare CRM proforma invoices, work orders, and warranty sheets when needed.
- Work with employees, contractors, dealers, and suppliers to support Dingli AWP purchasing and related services.
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly tasks independently and under supervision to ensure safe warehouse and inventory operations.
- Receive, store, pre-deliver, and stock take new products and spare parts inventory.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, warehouse issues, safety concerns, risks, and improvement opportunities to local management.
- Escalate any situation that could affect the company or its operations.
- Operate assets such as forklifts, company vehicles, and Dingli AWP equipment safely.
- Wash and detail products, equipment, and vehicles used for company business.
- Keep tools and workshop/warehouse equipment in good condition and report any missing, damaged, or unserviceable items.
- Promote Dingli AWP products and services across Asia Pacific, with emphasis on the Oceania region.
- Share business opportunities identified with current or prospective customers.
- Communicate professionally with suppliers and internal teams regarding inventory, products, and maintenance materials.
- Carry out warehouse maintenance tasks such as shelving and racking work where safe and within capability.
- Attend trade show events as required.
- Support product training and technical assistance under supervision.
- Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, and Dingli AWP staff.
- Attend and help run meetings, reviews, and committee meetings when required.
- Assist with onboarding and training new employees, provide feedback on performance, and raise any concerns about suitability or non-conformance with management.
- Maintain all statutory, regulatory, and licensing requirements needed to perform the role safely and effectively.
- Complete any other duties or new responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements
- Chinese language ability is an advantage, preferably fluent in Chinese.
- Experience in parts selling, delivery, and inventory management.
- Valid forklift licence.
- Current Australian driver’s licence and access to reliable transport.
- Previous experience in a similar role within an import/export or distribution setting.
- Strong attention to detail, along with solid computer and communication skills.
- Team-oriented approach with a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to help meet company goals and support problem resolution.
- Comfort with physical work, including loading and unloading equipment from containers and heavy vehicles.
- Reliable, ambitious, positive, and motivated to develop a career, with mechanical aptitude.
Additional information
This position is based onsite in Yatala, Queensland, Australia and is a full-time role.
