Job description

Role overview

This is an opportunity to step into a senior leadership position with greater influence, strong backing, and a chance to help shape the direction of a growing professional services business. The employer is a specialist recruitment firm in Melbourne focused on Accounting and Wealth Management, and is working with Findex to find outstanding leaders across Victoria.

The role may suit an established Partner looking for a fresh platform to expand, or a Senior Manager, Director, or Associate Partner ready for the next move.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee a valuable portfolio of accounting, advisory, and business clients.
  • Lead business development activity and contribute to the region’s growth strategy.
  • Provide strategic leadership with meaningful influence on the firm’s future direction.
  • Grow and manage client relationships while supporting long-term business expansion.
  • Travel to client meetings across the region as required.

What the role offers

  • A strong base salary along with an industry-leading bonus and commission structure.
  • A hybrid working arrangement with real flexibility between office and home.
  • A leadership position with direct impact on the firm’s future path.
  • Support from robust central resources and a structured development pathway.
  • Work-life balance support, including hybrid arrangements and TOIL.
  • Opportunities for career progression and future advancement.
  • Access to mentoring from experienced industry leaders and tailored learning and development.
  • A professional, collaborative culture where individual contribution is valued.

About the employer

Findex is presented as one of Australia’s largest and fastest-growing professional services firms. It combines the scale and resources of a national business with the community connection of a local practice, giving partners autonomy to develop their own business while benefiting from specialist expertise and broader support.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate is commercially driven and experienced in Accounting, Business Services, or Advisory. They should enjoy building trusted relationships, solving problems, and creating value beyond financial results. A collaborative mindset, natural curiosity, and motivation to seize new opportunities are important. Because the position has regional responsibility, regular travel for client meetings is part of the role.
