USTA, the United States Tennis Association, serves as the national governing body for tennis in the United States and helps grow the sport at every level, from community participation to the US Open.

Role Overview
The Housing Assistant will be part of the USTA Training Center Operations team and will help maintain a safe, organized, and encouraging environment for student-athletes at the facility in Orlando, Florida.
Key Duties
- Carry out facility rules and procedures as instructed by the Director of Operations, Player Development.
- Oversee athletes between the ages of 13 and 18 and observe lodge activity during scheduled shifts.
- Help run off-court Life Skills programming for both resident and non-resident athletes.
- Handle guest access to the Player Development facility, including coordination of check-ins for players and visitors.
- Work alongside the Resident Assistant to help create a positive, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere at the Training Center.
- Develop supportive relationships with resident athletes and assist with their personal and academic needs.
- Help keep Player Development spaces tidy through light housekeeping and basic maintenance tasks.
- Complete vehicle inspections before and after trips and fill out the required trip documentation.
- Transport student-athletes, staff, and guests in USTA vehicles as assigned.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a setting where safety, structure, and policy compliance are important. Strong communication and people skills are important, along with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
Experience in facility operations or a related area is preferred. The role also calls for someone who can support people from varied backgrounds, handle light maintenance, and use digital tools such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required, and the candidate should feel confident driving an 11-passenger van.
Work Details
This is a part-time position scheduled for up to 28 hours per week.
Compensation
The expected pay is $17.00 per hour. Final base pay may vary based on qualifications, relevant experience, specialized skills, and the work location. Additional compensation or benefits may also apply if the employee qualifies.
